About this product:

• GOLDEN Gesso is a flexible, ready-to-use acrylic dispersion ground that prepares a substrate or surface to accept paints by providing “tooth” to promote paint adhesion;
  
• Semi-opaque waterborne acrylic dispersion ground in white;
  
• Suitable for acrylic and oil paints (and many other media);
  
• Dries Satin to Matte in sheen;
  
• Water clean-up;
  
• Stir before use - some settling is expected;
  
• Ready to use - can be thinned with water up to 25%;
  
• Appropriate on canvas, panel and various acrylic-receptive surfaces;
  
• Can be brush, trowel, or spray-applied (rolling may produce foam);
  
• Allow 1-3 hours between applications, depending upon environment;
  
• Can be mixed with GOLDEN Acrylics to produce range of colored grounds;
  
• Gesso can be modified with most GOLDEN Gels & Mediums to increase flexibility, lower tooth and absorbency;
  
• Thin applications are recommended, thick single-applications may crack;
  
• Thin applications can conform to a variety of textures without cracking;
  
• For indoor use only;
